The wind whispered promises of a magical day at the Eco-Kite Festival on November 16th. But sometimes, even the best-laid plans need to take a detour!
We at Forest Friends of Kenya want to extend a massive thank you to everyone who braved the unexpected downpour to join us. While the rain may have put a damper on the official competition, it couldn’t dampen your spirits or your love for kites! Seeing so many colorful creations dance in the misty sky was truly inspiring.
However, in the interest of fairness and a truly exceptional competition experience, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone the Eco-Kite Festival Competition. Don’t worry, this isn’t goodbye – it’s just a “see you soon!”
Here’s the good news: We were still able to spread seedballs across the festival valley. Thanks to the rain, these little eco-warriors will have an extra boost in their journey to transform into beautiful flora!
